LAMDA Acting Examination Success

For the last five years we have offered students the opportunity to take part in London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Examinations in Acting as an after school activity.  Students work hard all year to learn 2 monologues or duologues and take their examinations at the end of the summer term. Each year more students take part and every year the results get better.

We would like to congratulate the 42 students from Years 7 to 13 who took their examinations in June 2014 who were entered from Grade 2 through to Grade 7 Silver Medal Award.  All of them passed successfully and 39 gained the highest award of Distinction.  Special congratulations go to Joseph Mattingley and Sam Mullenger who not only achieved Distinction but gained full marks for their Grade 6 Bronze Medal Award.

Mrs Hole will continue to work with some of these students towards taking a higher grade examination next summer as well as offering the opportunity for new students to begin working on LAMDA for the first time. Sessions run every Wednesday afternoon from 2pm-3pm or 3pm-4pm. Students interested in joining should come to Drama on a Wednesday afternoon as soon as possible.
