Message from Mr Bonsell - Update about school uniform (Jackets)

Thank you again for your support in ensuring our young people look so smart in their uniforms. Last week I sent out a reminder of our guidelines for coats and jackets. Following various responses from some parents and students we would like to clarify the guidelines.....

Jackets and coats should provide protection from the British weather, should not have obvious writing on (fashion labels, brand names) and be of a colour so as to support our expectations for students to be smart, professional and ready to learn. Hooded tops are not permitted as they do not provide adequate protection from the elements. Denim jackets are also not permitted. Hooded tops and denim jackets will be confiscated from students and parents will be asked to collect them from the main office. The school is the final arbiter of what constitutes an approved coat or jacket.

Thank you again for your support in this matter

Mr M Bonsell, Director of Learning Communities
