Public speaking competition success

The year 7 team from Wood Green are celebrating their success at last night's Youth Speaks competition, organised by the Rotary Club of Witney. The team: Isaac Grindley, Adam Bennett and Alice Shadbolt, spoke on the subject of the recent clown crisis, a subject of great concern to younger students. The judges enjoyed their balance of humour and serious tone, their team work and the professional, well-prepared delivery. The students, along with their student coaches, Lauren Godliman, Ellen Carpenter and Rosie Burkey, have worked very hard each lunch time preparing and rehearsing for the competition and they were all a huge credit to the school. They will go on to compete in the Zone finals in February against schools from across the county.
