Staff Changes for 2016-17
We are saying goodbye to some valued members of staff this term. I would like to thank them on behalf of everyone at Wood Green School for their commitment and dedication to our school, and wish them all the best for the future.
Mrs Davies (22 years) and Mr Turner (19 years) have given so much to the school in many roles and we wish them every happiness and a well-earned as they retire from the profession.
Mr Charlett (19 years) and Mrs Dorward (14 years) have supported D&T and Science respectively as technicians superbly over many years and we also wish them a happy retirement.
We wish Mrs Hale well as she retires after 11 years as Head of Business Studies
Also leaving this term are:
Mrs O’Flynn, after 13 years as Second in English and, previously, Head of Department
Mrs Jackson, after 13 years as Teacher of Geography and, previously, Head of Learning Community
Mrs Kendrick, after 11 years as Senior Administrator in the school office
Mr Anderson, after 4 years as teacher of English
Miss Cardani, after 4 years as teacher of History
Mr McCorquodale is moving to Warwick after 2 years teaching Science.
Miss Stokes, after 1 year as Teaching Assistant
Finally, Mr Bunting is not fully leaving Wood Green but he will be stepping back from teaching Geography after an incredible 30 years. Mr Bunting is know and loved by so many people and I know that you would want to add your best wishes for all that he has done for the school. Fortunately, he will be continuing with Horticulture next year, as Wood Green would not be the same without him.
We have new staff joining us in September, who I will include in the first newsletter next year.
Mr R Shadbolt
