STOMP Workshops prove a big hit with Year 8!

Students in Year 8 enjoyed the final part of our Acer Trust Arts project last week working in workshops with the Internationally acclaimed company STOMP. They explored rhythmic patterns in partnership with movement and were introduced to the way in which a STOMP performance would be put together. A high light was the way in which the company used recycled objects as instruments including flexible pipe, metal bins and plungers!!  Lots of fun was had by all involved and the STOMP Team said that our year 8's were 'fantastic'!

'This was an fantastic opportunity for our pupils. It was wonderful to see them all participating and enjoying such a creative experience. We look forward to using all the ideas that we explored when we join together with other members of the trust to put together a performance later in the year' Mrs Laughlin, Director of Music
