Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Carolyn Whiting, says "Morgan and Chik impressed not only staff but students from year 7 – 13 with their energy and vision in the hustings. The School looks forward to their leadership bringing these ideas to fruition.”
“As the new Head Boy / Girl and Deputy Head Boy/Girl of Wood Green School we are very pleased and excited to be taking on these new titles and responsibilities.
The role of Head Boy and Head Girl will comprise of running formal school events such as Awards Evening and the Sixth Form Induction Evening. In addition to this we will be the voice of the students and take requests for improvements around the school.
The roles of the appointed Deputy Heads will be to direct the school council and give the relevant feedback to the school governors. Directing the school council will also involve raising awareness throughout the school of projects and developments and this is to be achieved through individual form visits.
As a team we hope to represent the school at ceremonial occasions such as in November laying a wreath at the Witney memorial service. We are very passionate about the school and hope to achieve positive changes that will benefit both students and staff."
