National Healthcare Weekends. Medic Mentor are a social enterprise who mentor aspiring medics, dentists and vets from schools nationwide. They hold Healthcare Weekends throughout the where Doctors, Dentists and Vets, give lectures on work experience, personal statements, interview techniques etc, led by their team of doctors. Registration starts at £25. Students from low-income backgrounds can apply to attend for free, and teachers can attend for free. Students can register and find out more information here

The WorldSkills Live 21-23 November 2019 is the largest skills apprenticeships and careers event in the UK. The event will be held in at the NEC Birmingham, ifree to attend and is crammed full of careers advice and hands-on activities for students. The event is suitable for students from Year 7 upwards and of all academic abilities; this year there is a holistic approach on how to prepare for the world of work from have-a-go skills activities through to building a strong mental attitude.   A wide range of industry sectors, careers and training pathways such as Health, Hospitality & Lifestyle, Construction & Infrastructure, Engineering & Technology and Digital, Business & Creative. Hundreds of exhibitors such as Rolls Royce, The Army, Huawei Technologies (UK), Babcock International Group, Dudley College and Middlesex University will be on hand to give your students the chance to speak to experts in their fields about the potential next steps into the world of work, training or academia.
