National Healthcare Weekends. Medic Mentor are a social enterprise who mentor aspiring medics, dentists and vets from schools nationwide. They hold Healthcare Weekends throughout the where Doctors, Dentists and Vets, give lectures on work experience, personal statements, interview techniques etc, led by their team of doctors. Registration starts at £25. Students from low-income backgrounds can apply to attend for free, and teachers can attend for free. Students can register and find out more information here

Find Your Future – Virtual Careers Platform

Find your Future, OxLEP’s online careers platform for young people, parents/carers, schools and colleges is live (as at 25 March 2021) and available for all to access!

This brilliant new online Careers platform for jobs, courses and careers opportunities provides information, inspiration and guides for students and parent/carers.

The platform can be accessed here - there’s no need to register - and offers so much:

  • Visit 100 different pods to learn about the different employment sectors and businesses available across Oxfordshire
  • Pods contain videos/links to websites, useful information and so much more
  • connect with local and national employers
  • research Post 16/18 options including-Levels, colleges, apprenticeships and universities
  • Discover tips on the skills employers are looking for, CV writing and how to succeed at interviews

The Find Your Future platform is available for a whole year so there’s plenty of time to explore this excellent and informative platform.
