Celebration assemblies are a fantastic opportunity for us to share the wonderful success of our young people across the range of experiences they have at Wood Green School. Amongst other things we will celebrate success in the classroom and on the sports’ field, in the drama studio and in the concert hall.
We usually aim to inform parents of students who are receiving awards. Unfortunately, due to staff absence, we are not able to manage that this term. All parents are warmly invited to attend. There will be much to celebrate: as well as presenting Aspiration Awards and bronze and silver E-Praise awards, we will be presenting for the first time Year Awards to Years 7 to 9 and, for year 9 only, half-colours for Music, Drama and Sport and the Wood Green KS3 Baccalaureate to those students who have shown consistent effort and commitment to the school over the last three years.
This event promises to be an uplifting hour and a fitting recognition of the fabulous achievements of our student over the year
The assemblies are scheduled to take place between 8:50 and 9:50 on the dates below:
• Mon 8 July 2019 Year 7 Celebration Assembly • Tues 9 July 2019 Year 8 Celebration Assembly • Mon 15 July 2019 Year 10 Celebration Assembly • Wed 17 July 2019 Year 9 Celebration Assembly
Please let your child’s Tutor or Head of Year know of any things your child is involved in outside of school. We know there are scouts, guides, dancers, singers, fire cadets, karate experts and many more out there and we would love to recognise their achievements with you.
Please see the schedule for the day below.
