The LIBRARY is situated at the heart of the school and offers a welcoming, relaxed environment for all students to study, or read.
The library is open every day from 8.30am until an hour after school and is run by Mrs Prior and Miss Ab-Iorwerth.
As well as stocking the latest fiction releases and essential Accelerated Reader novels, the library also sports a large non-fiction area, manga and graphic fiction section plus up to date journals and magazines.
Staff and students can borrow up to 5 books at a time for a two week period.
We are equipped with computers linked to our colour printer available to students to do homework or research.
Students can now request books to be delivered to their tutor room. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with a book request, or to ask for a suggestion.
The computers also provide access to a number of amazing software packages including :-
Reading Cloud is our online library system where students can look up library books, create their own avatar and profile, chat with their friends about what they are reading, request books, take AR quizzes, write book reviews and research popular authors
The Day is an online newspaper, which teaches students to think for themselves and engage with the world.
Digi-map is funded by the library and is a really useful tool supporting a number of subjects including geography and history.
