WGS Library receives a very generous donation

Mr Steve Bacon former teacher at Wood Green School in 1968 presented a cheque for £730 to the Wood Green School Library at our recent Year 11 Awards Evening. The donation was made as a result of contributions received from the Wood Green staff and students of 1968 after their recent 50th Anniversary Celebration Evening.

Library Donation Nov 2018

Louise Morgan, our Librarian said 'Huge thanks to the Wood Green staff and students of 1968 for their incredibly generous donation of £730 towards books for the library.

The library is at the heart of our school and offers a warm friendly space where there is always something to do, something to learn, something to share or simply somewhere to “be”.

We are constantly striving to improve the resources we have for our students and such a sum will pay for an engaging variety of the latest fiction and non-fiction books for everyone to enjoy for years to come.

We sincerely thank all those who contributed for their kindness and awesomeness, it is greatly appreciated and keeps their Wood Green legacy alive'.
