Interested in Drama? WOAPA Theatre School Scholarship Opportunity!

West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts is offering 3 FREE scholarships to attend their Saturday children’s theatre school FOR A WHOLE YEAR taking part in their dance, singing and acting classes.

Having opened its doors in 2012 with a masterclass dance session by Kylie Minogue choreographer, Tim Noble, the school filled its classes within 6 months. A second school, held on Saturday afternoons soon opened.

The scholarships are being offered to Wood Green School Students to attend the Saturday afternoon school which runs from 2.00pm-5.00pm at Henry Box School Drama Centre. As well as providing the students with opportunities to participate in performing arts, WOAPA aims to improve the health and confidence of children.

Raising children’s confidence and self-esteem is a big part of WOAPA” says Brian Conroy, principal. “By offering scholarships we are hoping to give those children who, perhaps, wouldn’t usually be able to attend a drama school, the chance to benefit from all the positive aspects of the performing arts including increased physical fitness levels, a positive attitude and a sense of achievement.”

WOAPA is offering 3 FREE scholarships, for students aged 13-16yrs currently at Wood Green School in Years 9-11.

These scholarships will commence January 2016.
