This page sets out useful information for parents/carers whose children are joining Wood Green.
Your child's contact details: Keeping us informed of your up to date contact information is extremely important. The school will use this information to contact you for a variety of reasons which include; if your child has not arrived at school, medical/sickness incidents, pastoral care, changes to school bus timings and school trips. If you change your address, email address or telephone numbers you can update these in September after your child has started at Wood Green School via the tools in:
or if you wish to update anything in advance, please send an email with the new information to:

Making contact: if there are any problems we can help with, or should know about, or if your child has achieved something we can share in, please let your child's form tutor know by email. We also like as much feedback as possible from you concerning the general life of the school.
Please email us if you are not receiving regular email updates from the school.

Visits. The school has a strong tradition of visits and residential work in a wide range of areas, for example, curricular fieldwork, outward bound activities, foreign exchange and theatre visits. The Education Act allows for the charging of board and lodging costs. Parents in receipt of Family Income Support or Supplementary Benefit are entitled to support with these residential costs on production of documented evidence and, as always, such matters will be treated discreetly and in confidence. See our Charging Policy - Guide for Parents
HomeworkHomework is set for all students from Year 7 to 13 and is made available on MCAS and The Student Portal.
Progress Evenings. We view these as an important formal means of cementing the partnership between home and school, and both our subject reviews and assessments aim to give as much information about your child’s progress as possible. Meeting dates are emailed to parents and can be booked on MCAS when advised that bookings are open.
