Two teams of public speaking students competed last night in the Rotary Club's Youth Speaks competition.
Back in November, the Intermediate team (Tom Read, Alysha-Paris Godfrey and Harry Dunkley) and the Senior team (Ella Shadbolt, Kitty Taylor and Abi Firmin) won the local heats and qualified for last night's District competition. They faced stiff competition from eight teams across Oxfordshire.
We are delighted to announce that the intermediate team won their competition and will now compete in March at the Regional final.
The senior team spoke about the topical issue of Fake News, and the intermediate team about the Five Freedoms for animals. Both teams' careful planning, polished performances, humour and team work were fantastic.
