Wood Green School staged our first ever World of Work Event on 19^th May with a host of fantastic local employers who kindly gave their time and expertise to our Year 8 students. The aim of the 'speed networking' event was to introduce our Year 8 students to employers and increase student’s understanding of the breadth of careers available to them. Over 200 Year 8 Students quizzed employers to find out as much as they could about their area of work, career, how they got into it, skills needed, what they loved about their job and so on. A HUGE Thank You to: Abbotts Diabetes Care Ltd, RAF Brize Norton, OICB, Nio, Meech, Ridge & Partners LLP, We are doodlebug, Richmond Villages, Darke & Taylor, Abingdon & Witney Common Leys Farm and Oxford Airport for their fantastic support. Our students had a brilliant time and were a credit to our school.
