We have been celebrating A Level results with our year 13 students this week and we would like to congratulate all of our students on their achievements.
We are delighted to report that, at the time of writing, 93% of those students applying to universities have got into their chosen destination. We also have students going onto some fabulous apprenticeships including HR, Public Services and Accountancy. Several students, in line with recent trends, have chosen to take a gap year to develop themselves and decide their next destination.
Our results were in line with what we expected for this year which is very pleasing, with a smaller than usual cohort. Overall, headlines were lower than last year, in line with expectations, but within that there were some great results and destinations. For example, over 20% of all grades were at A* and A. However, Wood Green students are more than just grades. There are so many stories of overcoming adversity, and the resilience that every single one of our students has shown is remarkable. To our students, you are all inspiring young people and we wish you all every success in the future.
